WHAT WE CAN OFFER YOUR PRODUCT ONCE IT'S COMPLETED
The obvious problem that exists today is that you go out there and commit to getting a quality product produced professionally, it's done well and when it is your left all alone to try and make something happen with it. That's crap and today doesn't fly. So we take an ownership stake in your album and that way we have an incentive to get out there and pitch it to as many third party connections we have on the international grid.
1. Well dependent on which genre the artist falls into the opportunity to sign the product (only) with one of the two established labels as listed below.
Sugar Filly Records
All Female Pop/Rock label with US, Australia, New Zealand, Indian and release and distribution options.
DEAD Famous Records
A Hard Rock, Metal, Hardcore and Screamo label with strong European, UK and Australian release and distribution options.
1) As we are effectively involved with the higher Hollywood community as music supervisors on various feature film productions. We can offer our artists first look at being included in any of these projects and their encompassing soundtracks. Most of these soundtracks are distributed by Majors and therefore as a rule of thumb if an artist hits the ground running with a track in a film that has box office success, then chances are the label will reach out to them on discovery that they have a full blown album waiting in the wings ready to go. This is how mainstream exposure is created, visibility guaranteed and subsequently capitalised on. Currently we have positioning with the new Twilight TV series, Rebellion Pictures, Grammercy Pictures, BMG Media's Horror slate and Lions Gate etc.
2) We also have output deals with various labels and these include, Disney, Hollywood Records, Lava Records, Island / Def Jam, ACM Records, Universal, White Wolf Records and the list goes on.
3) We have blanket deals in place with the W.B, CBS / Paramount, NBC / Universal, Bravo Networks, ABC Network, HBO, PBS Network and E Entertainment Networks which includes both their Film and Television platform and in the last two years have licensed over 39 new songs to their global broadcast platform. Any artist that gets produced by myself and my team automatically gets the best of their material submitted to the music supervisors of these highly dynamic US Networks.
Like anything worthwhile doing there are costs associated and these are listed below.
Ingestion Fees for Release and Distribution
Our intention in the ever shrinking music economy is to equip the artist with the relevant tools to make them industry ready and give them the best chance of making an impact in the market place. We are not a promotional and or marketing agency but we have many hook-ups with strong viral marketing companies like Capacity Productions www.capacityproduction.net among other quality options. So if you need to build a stronger FANbase that requires, Facebook, MySpace, Reverbnation, YouTube likes, followers, ratings, subscribers and plays then we are all geared to hook you up.
PRODUCTION COSTS
From previous experience we envisage a ten day tracking time frame to produce (10) tracks for an album depending on genre of international standard and an additional (4) days mixing. We have a great studio in Los Angeles situated in the heart of Hollywood. Check it out at: www.thesoundsalon.com My normal book rate for album production is US440.00 per day but as you will see below I am very flexible and in tune with current market trends.
1. Mike Puskas (Producer) (14) x US220.00 = US3,080.00 (normally I charge US440.00 per day)
2. (4) Producer points on every cut produced and for the world and in perpetuity from first record sold and only after my fees have been recouped in full
3. (35%) of master ownership of the album for the world and in perpetuity and for all media
4. Food & Beverage for the duration of my stay while working with the artist on the project
5. (10%) Admin free which covers all File Transfers & Revisions (www.yousendit.com), Postage, Additional pick ups, vocal tweaks, Melodyne and Shipping etc. This also includes the provision of the following for output.
1. Final Radio Mix
2. TV Track Mix
3. Instrumental Mix
4. Vocal up 2db Mix for European releases
Total producer costs: US3,300.00
Payment Provisions
1. 50% of my fee on signing of my standard Producers Agreement
2. 50% on completion of the project and prior to handover of all master files on a hard drive to be provided by you the artist and at your own expense. A Fire-wire hard drive of no less than 150 gig in size will suffice to back up all the files in the project to take away.
ONE OFF SINGLES
With the current market in a very difficult state right now we are also offering one off single track productions. To have a song produced from scratch which includes all musical instruments, engineer, producer, vocal production we charge an all inclusive price of US1,100.00 this includes mixing but no mastering. Mastering is an additional US165 for the song. Total cost for full release production: US1,265.00
MASTERING
When you have invested this sort of money in producing a great record then you want to get it mastered by the best. Brian Gardener at Bernie Grundman Mastering in LA is the best I know and charges us US275.00 per track. So US2,750 for the album. We can also arrange for your project to be mastered at the infamous Abbey Road Studios in London at £165 per track mastered. So a standard (10) track album, would cost: £1650.00
